In 2005, Medical Director Chung-ling Liang MD.PhD. founded the first high-tech international authority hospital in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan which also has professional ophthalmology and eye plastic surgery.
Because Dr. Liang was full of curiosity and interest in the eye function of the Window of Soul, 20 years ago, in the competition of more than 200 outstanding medical students applying for residency, the most popular ophthalmology was selected with the highest score in the hospital.
After the strict resident training of Chang Gung Hospital and the professional training of the first batch of vision health seed doctors of the Ministry of Education. Dr. Liang went to further study, including the US-ranked Harvard University Ophthalmology Teaching Hospital MEEI (pediatric ophthalmology, cataract surgery, refractive myopia center, contact lens correction and many other professional ophthalmology treatments), Columbia University (genetic center for myopia research) and three medical centers (NYU, NYEEI, MEETH) in New York (ocular reconstruction and cosmetic eyelid surgery and laser technique training). Dr. Liang was engaged in both clinical medicine and basic science research, and obtained a doctorate from Chang Gung Medical University, becoming the first female doctor of ophthalmology at Chang Gung University.
After years of serving the ophthalmology community in North Taiwan, Dr. Liang decided to return to Kaohsiung, the hometown of growth, to benefit the folks. She had served as director of ophthalmology at Kaohsiung City Datong Hospital and director of ophthalmology at Kaohsiung City Union Hospital. Subsequently, in order to combine medicine and aesthetics, in 2005, the international professional ophthalmology and ophthalmology authority medical institution – Bright-Eyes Clinic was founded. She was invited by Asia University Hospital in Tai-Chung city in 2016-2017 to set up ophthalmology department and works in Bright-Eyes Clinic at the same time.
